Preparing students for the 21st Century stipulates equipping them with effective
media and technology skills, and an ability to find creative solutions to problems.
ISTEK Schools have designed a curriculum for technology, robotics and coding
from preschool all the way to the end of high school.

The Robotics and Coding Curriculum is integrated with the PYP Programme and
the Ministry’s curriculum. The main aims of the program which are based on
developing 21st Century Skills and include

  •  Problem solving
  •  Creative and critical thinking
  •  Collaboration
  •  Teamwork
  •  Taking responsibility
  •  Communication as well as research skills such as
  •  Defining the problem
  •  Gathering data
  •  Recording data
  •  Analysing data.

ISTEK Schools’ Robotics and Coding Curriculum is the result of a rigorous process
of research and development. Prior to implementation, the schools went through a
meticulous period of preparation during which teachers were provided with the
necessary training. Technological equipment and materials were provided for all
ISTEK Schools from preschool to high school so that parallel standards are
targeted in all campuses.

Thanks to our curriculum that enables our students to carry their learning to outside
the classroom, turning any kind of space into a lab or workshop, the students get
numerous opportunities throughout the year to present their learning outcomes
(products) at national and international platforms. Among such platforms are the
following.

  • Maker Faire (ISTECH FEST and National Maker Fairs)
  • Hour of Code
  • FIRST® LEGO® League Junior (FLL Jr.)
  • FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL)
  • FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC)
